On Sunday night Lake of the Isles Lutheran, Joyce United Methodist, and St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox were burglarized. On Tuesday night, Edgewater Baptist and Lynnhurst Church were robbed. All of the churches were open and had events on those nights. Excepting in the case of the Greek Orthodox Church, all of the Churches would be celebrating Easter this Sunday so there are probably larger numbers of non-regular attendees present. It may be that someone is hanging around after everybody leaves and is forcing their way out.
Reporter Mark Albert was the one who spotted the pattern, or at least in close proximity in time to the Police discovering it.
