Two stranger rapes in Mpls Parks

One happened near Loring Park and the other in Folwell Park. Kstp has the story on both.

On 05/20/2009, at approximately 10 pm, a female was out for a walk in Folwell Park when she was approached by an unknown male who grabbed her by the neck and threatened her with physical harm. The male then proceeded to sexually assault her near the park building. The victim was able to give a very detailed description of the suspect:



Possible Hispanic or Native American male, 30’s
light brown skin
5’ 1” to 5’ 2”, muscular stocky build, thick neck
straight black short hair combed back on sides and sticking up on top
Medium sideburns with thin jaw line beard going into a slight mustache
He has a scar running down under his left ear
He is missing a right upper tooth and has a gold upper left tooth
He is wearing a metal “cross” post earring in his left ear
Suspect has a burn mark on the top of his left hand.
Walks with a slight limp


Suspect was wearing a white t-shirt with lettering which was in a curve over his chest, below that was a picture of an African American male. Suspect also had a red and white bandanna around his neck and dark (blue or black) pants.



Suspect threatened a weapon, none was seen.
