Police seek assistance in pharmacy robberies
June 9, 2009 (MINNEAPOLIS) Minneapolis Police Robbery Investigators seek the publics help in identifying a suspect who may be involved in the robbery of two Northeast pharmacies.
· Shortly after 11 a.m. on June 8 [CORRECTED DATE] at the Fairview Pharmacy located at 2847 Johnson St NE was robbed at gunpoint.
· Early this morning at approximately 3 a.m. the Walgreens located at 2643 Central Ave NE was also robbed at gunpoint.
In both robberies a gun was used and the suspect demanded drugs. The loss at both pharmacies was a very large amount of prescription pain killers.
According to the victims, the suspect is described as a white male, 5’8” – 6’0”, light to medium build with very short light brown hair and eyebrows. Suspect may be violent and caution should be used.
