Eastside Defender | Minneapolis Crime News Hosted by the Northeast Citizen Patrol

Longtime readers of the Crime Watch know that I used to post the NE Citizen Patrol weekly (or biweekly) newsletter which focused specifically on crime in NE Minneapolis, comprised of the old Nordeast neighborhoods along the river, the University Area and a smidgen bordering on the downtown area. Most of it within the 2nd precinct. I sent an email quite a while ago asking what happened to the report and never heard back. John Schulte, the author of the email report has finally checked in to report:

Many of you have been wondering why you have not been getting crime news emails this summer. The fact is I've had surgery that set me behind on getting these out. However, most of you know that www.EastsideDefender.com has been updated with crime news all along.

I'm hoping to get the crime emails back in place very soon, but I wanted to take this time today to remind everyone to vote tomorrow. The city council can have a drastic effect on our fight against blight and crime in NE.

Please take a close look at each candidate's record on helping out with our crime fighting in NE. We need a true fighter that has NE as a first priority when it comes to our basic need for safety. Without a clean and safe NE, all other good intentions cannot happen.

In alphabetical order, here are the candidate's web sites.

Tom Alessi: http://tomalessi4ward1.com
Mark Fox: http://electmarkfox.us
Susan Howitz Hanna: I could not find a website for Susan
Larry Ranallo: http://ranallo4neward1.com
Kevin Reich http://www.kevinreich.com

Remember that this is the first year for run off voting. So you will be voting for up to 3 people. Please vote pro safety people as your first choices.
