Officers responded to the above area regarding a shooting. V1/BM, 20’s, was located, deceased. No suspect information.

33XX Aldrich Ave N Thursday 8/5/10 2007 hrs 10-235887
MFD responded to a small fire at this location. Minneapolis PD told MFD officer that juveniles ran from the scene, but there was no clear description of them. Fire damage consisted of minor damage to a baby walker/stroller. MFD determined this was arson & was likely caused by juveniles playing with matches. No injuries. No suspect information.

14XX Morgan Ave N Wednesday 8/4/10 1900 hrs 10-235638
PG1/BF, 38 yrs, the parent of V1/BM, 15 yrs, came to the Pct to report that S1/BM, 15 yrs, pointed a gun at her son. V1 did not want to be seen walking into the Pct out of fear, & PG1 did not want a squad to pull up in front of her house for the same reason. Via phone, V1 told officer that S1 rode up on a bike & pointed a black handgun at him, stating he would kill him. S1 then handed the gun to known S2/BM, 15-19 yrs. Suspects approached a small black car with tinted windows where S3/BM, unknown age, was sitting. No injuries & no further suspect info.

Plymouth Ave N & Upton Ave N Tuesday 8/3/10 2230 hrs 10-233569
Officer responded to a robbery of person call. V1/WM, 53 yrs, was not able to communicate very well, but stated he was at the bus stop when unknown suspect(s) struck him on the head, knocking him to the ground. V1 was robbed of $280 that was taken from his pants pockets. No suspect info. V1 was incoherent & was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

9XX Broadway Ave W Tuesday 8/3/10 2234 hrs 10-233498
V1/BM, 41 yrs, was inside his vehicle, going through the McDonald’s drive thru when unknown S1/BM, 15-18 yrs, rode his bicycle near V1’s car. S1 went to V1’s window & pressed a gun under his chin, demanding money. V1 pulled approx. $40 out of his pocket & gave it to S1. Another BM, S2, 16-18 yrs, appeared out of nowhere & opened the driver’s door, grabbing V1 & telling him to get out of the vehicle. S2 repeatedly told S1 to shoot V1 & became upset when he didn’t. While the 2 suspects struggled for the gun, V1 ran away. S2 got into the driver’s seat of V1’s vehicle & shouted for S1 to get in. Suspects drove off in V1’s vehicle, a 1999 Nissan. Further loss included V1’s $345 Blackberry. No injuries.

V1/BM, 22 yrs, & V2/BF, 21 yrs, were carrying food from a restaurant & V1 had a cell phone & money in hand. V2 had a bag with 2 bottles of liquor. S1/BM, 20-25 yrs, pointed a handgun at the victims & demanded their food & booze. S2/BM, 20-25 yrs, grabbed a bag & S1 took a bag, the cell phone, & money. Suspects also forced V2 to give them a necklace she was wearing. Suspects fled on foot. No injuries. The stolen cash totaled $50, the cell phone is valued at $300, the necklace at $75 & the liquor at $30.

21st Ave N & 6th St N Thursday 8/5/10 1814 hrs 10-235735
V1/BM, 49 yrs, had just cashed his check at the Unbank inside Merwin Liquor. While V1 was walking home, 2 unknown BM suspects, both 18-25 yrs, approached him & S1 pointed a knife at his chest, demanding money or he’d kill V1. At this time, S2 went through V1’s pockets, taking a wallet containing $550 in cash. As soon as S2 had the wallet, both suspects ran off. No further suspect info. V1 believes the suspects followed him into the bank & there is a possible video of them inside the biz.

V1/BM, 26 yrs, & his son, V2/BM, 4 yrs, were approached by unknown S1/BM, 19-23 yrs, dark complexion, goatee, fade, all black clothes, who displayed a gun & demanded money. S1 pulled the slide out of the gun to show V1 it was loaded, stating he would shoot if V1did not give him money. V1 gave S1 $100 & S1 fled. No injuries.

Broadway Ave W & Emerson Ave N Saturday 8/7/10 1801 hrs 10-238171
V1/WM, 40 yrs, who appears to be mentally challenged, was riding an MTC bus when unknown S1/BM, 18-23 yrs, reached into his pocket & attempted to take his wallet. V1 held onto his wallet, at which time, unknown S2/BM, 18-23 yrs, assisted S1 in grabbing the wallet. S1 & S2 pushed V1 out the door, knocking him to the ground. Suspects ran off with the wallet which contained credit cards, ID, misc., & $35 in cash. V1 got back on the bus & stated he was not physically injured. V1’s glasses fell off but were not broken. No further info.

Officer spoke to V1/BM, 40 yrs, who is wheelchair-bound. V1 was home alone when AP1/BM, 49 yrs, his girlfriend’s cousin, entered through the back door. AP1 was upset & held a large kitchen knife, telling V1 to give him some money or he would cut his head off. V1 gave AP1 $10 & AP1 left. V1 received a call from AP1’s niece stating he was in her basement. AP1 was found at that location, & stated he had been with V1, but did not rob him. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Aggravated Robbery. No injuries.

V1/BM, 39 yrs & his wife, V2/BF, 38 yrs, were approached by 3 BM’s, 25-30 yrs, all wearing white t-shirts. These BM’s demanded money. V1 was robbed of his cell hone & $65 in cash. V2 lost a prescription bottle of Oxycodone. V1 was seen for minor injuries by a Henn Co medical crew on scene. Suspects were GOA .

19XX Upton Ave N Wednesday 8/4/10 1416 hrs 10-234185
Officers observed a vehicle with no front license plate & followed same. The driver, AP1/BM, 27 yrs, sped up & made a series of turns in an attempt to elude officers. Officers caught up to the vehicle in the rear of the above location where AP1 was standing outside. Officers could smell an odor of burnt marijuana & canvassed the vehicle. Officers observed the handle of a handgun under the driver’s seat in plain view. Officers recovered the gun, which was later discovered to be stolen. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons.

29th Ave N & Knox Ave N Wednesday 8/4/10 2140 hrs 10-234711
Officer dispatched on the report of a person with a gun. No gun was found on 2 parties who matched the descriptions given. Caller phoned again & stated the gun was in a red car at the above intersection. A revolver was found under the front seat. Caller ID’d AP1/BM, 26 yrs, as the party with the revolver. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons.

12XX Logan Ave N Thursday 8/5/10 1433 hrs 10-235520
Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. When officer approached the driver’s window, the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. Officer aired that the vehicle took off & it traveled into an alley where all 3 passengers exited & fled on foot. Officers yelled at them to stop multiple times & they did not. AP1/BM, 23 yrs, threw a handgun as he ran. All 3 parties were apprehended. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Flee & PC Weapons. AP2/BM, 30 yrs, was booked in HCJ for misdemeanor fleeing on foot & obstructing legal process. AP3/BM, 26 yrs, was booked in HCJ for misdemeanor fleeing on foot. The gun was recovered & inventoried.

Bryant Ave N & Colfax Ave N Friday 8/6/10 1804 hrs 10-236982
Officers were dispatched to a person with a gun call. AP1/BM, 30 yrs, kept tugging on his pants & officers told him to stop & come over. AP1 ran & officers observed him throw a gun underneath a truck. AP1 continued to run, but was apprehended. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons.

42XX Girard Ave N Sunday 8/8/10 1438 hrs 10-239035
Officers were dispatched on a call of shots fired. Caller stated AP1/BM, 32 yrs, came out of a house & shot up a car parked in front of the address. AP1 then ran back into the house. After a short stand-off, AP1 was taken into custody & booked in HCJ for PC Weapons. No injuries.
