Does anybody out there have a copy of the highlights from week 656? We are missing that one and can't get a copy yet. So, if it's sitting in your inbox archive, forward to me at goodponyz at yahoo dot com. It would be dated around August 22 to 25th, approximately.
You may wonder why? Why does it matter and why do we want to post each week of the highlights, or as some say, the low lights. A few reasons that are my own personal reasons include: 1) It makes them searchable by internet search engines. Someone may be running a search for a name that comes up in the highlights, for a variety of reasons. 2) See what has gone on around your area. You may not have known about your neighbor who experienced something unfortunate, and you may be able to reach out to them and help. Or perhaps something similar happened to you and now to your neighbor and you can help put pieces of the puzzle together. 3) Often times taking a look at northside crime statistics show that it's a very small portion of "random" crime occurring, and much more instances that crime is happening to the people who are already involved in crime. This is important to continue to document that, so that we can all help change the perceptions that have been created about our northside community.
So, those are just a few reasons why I see it as beneficial to post the weekly 4th precinct highlights (lowlights!).
