22XX 3rd St N Sunday 11/7/10 0836 hrs 10-339363
While on patrol, officers observed AP1/male, 57 yrs, standing next to the open side window of a parked truck. AP1 left the vehicle on a bike. Officers passed the vehicle seconds later & saw that the back seat was on fire. Officers caught up with AP1, who fled police. AP1 had a pair of gloves in his back pocket that smelled of gasoline. AP1 told officers that the victim wasn’t any good & that the victim stole the truck. Officers located a counterfeit $20 bill in AP1’s pocket & he told officers he just picked it up off the ground. AP1 was booked for PC Arson; PC Counterfeiting; & a Felony Warrant. No injuries.

26XX James Ave N Sunday 11/7/10 1531 hrs 10-339596
MFD responded to a vehicle fire at this location. The origin of the fire was the passenger compartment. The fire burned the seats down to the metal frame, there was fire damage throughout the dashboard, & windows broke from the heat of the fire. The owner just returned home approx. 5 minutes before the fire. MFD found an aluminum can on the floor, which was taken into evidence, as the owner stated he did not have any aluminum cans in the vehicle. The owner didn’t know anyone who would do this to his car. The vehicle was not towed, as it was not insured. Estimated damage is $5000. No injuries. MFD determined the cause of the fire was arson.

31XX Queen Ave N Thursday 11/4/10 0000 hrs 10-336218
Officers responded to a shots spotter call at the above location. Officers did not find any evidence in the front or rear of the house of shots fired. V1/female, 35 yrs, stated her house was shot at about a week ago & showed officers shots to her upstairs bedroom. V1 stated she saw a new maroon SUV stop across the street from her house on this date & unknown S1/male, 20-40 yrs, shot at the house. There were 3 other unknown male suspects in the SUV, all approx. 20-40 hrs. No injuries. V1 does not know why someone would be shooting at her house. Suspects were GOA.

Dowling Ave N & Penn Ave N Thursday 11/4/10 0155 hrs 10-336266
V1/male, 29 yrs, & his girlfriend, V2/female, 28 yrs, riding in a vehicle, were sitting at a red light with an unknown suspect vehicle behind them. When the light turned green, the suspect vehicle sped up to follow V1 & fired several shots at V1’s vehicle. V1 described the suspect vehicle as a dark colored van…possibly an Astro van. V1 did not see the suspect/shooter. V2 ducked down & did not see anything. V1 & V2 were not injured. V1’s driver’s side window was shot out, there was a bullet hole in the driver’s door, & also a flat tire. Suspect vehicle was GOA. Officers recovered .40 caliber casings from the area.

32XX Lowry Ave N Thursday 11/4/10 2155 hrs 10-337074
Officer responded to the hospital on the report of a party with a gunshot wound to his foot. V1/male, 24 yrs, gave conflicting stories as to where he was shot & stated he did not know who shot him. V1 was uncooperative with officer stating he would not tell officer anything. V1 then asked officer to leave.
Wound is non-life threatening.

24XX Broadway Ave W Sunday 11/7/10 1200 hrs 10-339473
Officers responded to a stabbing at the above location, with information that a victim had been stabbed 3 times in the back. Officers spoke with W1/male, 20 yrs, who stated he walked into the restaurant with V1/male, 20 yrs, & their wives. 3 male suspects, were seated at a table & immediately made eye contact with V1 & W1. As V1 & W1 turned to leave, the suspects began punching V1 & also punched W1. W1 saw S1 stab V1. All 3 suspects ran out of the biz. & got into a white, 4-door, Honda Accord. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance & later, hospital staff advised the stab wounds didn’t hit any major organs, but V1 would need stitches. Suspects were not located.

21XX Lyndale Ave N Sunday 11/7/10 1847 hrs 10-339740
Officer was assisting a squad on a traffic stop when a blue pick-up truck quickly approached, flashing its bright lights. V1/male, 44 yrs, & V2/male,17 yrs, father & son, jumped from the truck yelling that they had been shot. V1 stated they were shot at by a group of males, 16-18 yrs, at 21st & Lyndale. V1 stated he & V2 were at the Pizza Hut on Broadway when a silver car with a burgundy top approached & the males inside were “mugging” hit son. V1 explained “mugging” is a staring contest & a street sign for a challenge. Victims were driving in another area when they heard multiple shots & some hit their vehicle on the passenger side, causing plastic on the inside door panel to shatter & cut V2’s knee. V1 & V2 were apprehensive about providing information. A car matching the description of the suspect vehicle was later stopped, but no weapon was recovered. V2’s injury was very minor.

Fremont Ave N & Plymouth Ave N Wednesday 11/3/10 0050 hrs 10-335085
V1/female, 48 yrs., flagged down officers stating that someone had just taken her money & she pointed at AP1/male, 17 yrs, who was walking down the street. V1 stated they were at the bus stop when AP1 reached into her pockets & took her money. They both got on the bus & V1 told the bus driver she had just been robbed & to call the police. AP1 then exited the bus & V1 followed him. Officers apprehended AP1 & located the exact denominations of bills that were stolen, in his pockets. AP1 was booked in JDC for PC Robbery. V1 was not injured.

Fremont Ave N & Lowry Ave N Wednesday 11/3/10 0900 hrs 10-337527
V1/female, 77 yrs, was waiting for the bus at the above location. Unknown S1/male, 18-19 yrs, walked up to V1 & without saying anything, pulled her purse from her & fled on foot. V1 has no phone & was finally able to flag down a squad to make the report. Loss includes various ID’s, including a social security card, a billfold, & $86 in cash. V1 stated she was not injured. Suspect was GOA.

23RD Ave N & Lyndale Ave N Wednesday 11/3/10 1555 hrs 10-335611
Officers responded to a robbery of person at this location. V1/female, 45 yrs, stated that AP1/ male, 21 yrs, followed her from the ATM at Merwin’s Liquor where she withdrew money for her rent payment. AP1 continued to follow her & assisted with a bag she was carrying, then struck her with the bag, knocking her wallet out of her bra. AP1 fled on foot with the wallet & V1 stated the cash was approx. $240--$260 in $20 bills. Another squad observed AP1 after his description was aired & apprehended him. V1 was able to positively ID AP1 & V1’s loss was found on his person, along with a replica handgun. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Robbery. V1 was not injured.
ROBBIZ (Pair of Dice Pizza)
27XX Broadway Ave W Thursday 11/4/10 2131 hrs 10-337056
Officers arrived at the above location on a robbery of biz call. V3/male, 21 yrs, stated he was inside the kitchen, cooking, when 2 unknown masked males, late 20’s, wearing ski masks, came through the back door of the biz. S1 pointed a gun at V3 & asked where the money was. S1 also yelled for everyone to get on the floor. V2/female, 19 yrs, was the only other person in the biz & S1 told her to get all the money & give it to him. V2 gave S1 approx. $200 in cash. S1 asked about a safe, but was told it was broken & there was no money in it. S1 ordered V2 back on the ground & told V2 & V3 if they moved they’d get shot. Suspects then fled out the back door. No injuries. K9 was called to the scene, but did not locate any suspects.

Fremont Ave N & Shingle Creek Dr Thursday 11/4/10 2250 hrs 10-337132
Officers responded to a robbery of person at this location. V1/female, 49 yrs, was getting off the bus when she was approached by unknown S1/male, 18-20 yrs. S1 did not speak to V1, but grabbed her purse & punched her in the chest when she did not let go of it. S1 got the purse & fled on foot. V1 stated the loss included an ID card, EBT card, misc. papers, & make-up. Suspect was GOA.

Lowry Ave N & Sheridan Ave N Friday 11/5/10 1948 hrs 10-337873
V1/male, 51 yrs, was walking down the street when 2 unknown male suspects, 18-21 yrs, approached him from behind & S2 punched him in the back of his head. S1 then punched V1 twice in the face & demanded his money. S2 reached into his pants pocket & stole $198 in cash. Suspects then fled on foot. V1 declined medical attention. Suspects were GOA.

17TH Ave N & Emerson Ave N Friday 11/5/10 2132 hrs 10-337970
V1/male, 24 yrs, was walking home from the bus stop when he noticed unknown S1/male, 20-24 yrs, following him on foot. S1 asked if V1 had a cell phone & V1 said yes, but there were no minutes left on it. V1 continued walking & S1 punched V1 in the face with a closed fist, knocking him to the ground. V1 was afraid that S1 might have a weapon, so he got up & ran away, leaving his cell phone on the ground. S1 picked up the cell phone & fled. V1 refused medical. Officer observed redness to V1’s right cheek. Suspect was GOA. Value of the phone is $50.

24th Ave N & Irving Ave N Saturday 11/6/10 2124 hrs 10-338910
V1/male, 24 yrs, stated he went to the above location to pick up a friend of his, S1/male, 20-21 yrs, who he only knows by his nickname. S1 entered the passenger side of the vehicle & soon after, unknown S2/male, 18-21 yrs, entered the passenger seat behind V1. S2 pointed a silver handgun at V1’s head & demanded everything he had. V1 gave S1 his wallet, containing $950 in cash, & his i-phone, valued at $400. S1 also took V1’s car keys. S2 then struck V1 in the head with the handgun & the 2 suspects fled on foot. V1 had a cut on the left side of his head, but refused medical treatment. Suspects were not located.

35XX Logan Ave N Wednesday 11/3/10 1045 hrs 10-335343
AP1/male, 51 yrs, & V1/female, 15 yrs, AP1’s stepdaughter, were in an argument over V1’s boyfriend. As the argument escalated, AP1 retrieved a shotgun & threatened to kill V1 & her boyfriend. The shotgun was not loaded, but there live rounds in the magazine. Two shotguns were recovered & one was a reported stolen. No injuries. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC 2nd Degree Domestic Assault.

28XX Bryant Ave N Wednesday 11/3/10 1151 hrs 10-335381
4th Precinct CRT executed a search warrant at the above location. Officers recovered narcotics & weapons as a result of the search. AP1/male, 26 yrs, was arrested & booked for R & C, as a recovered gun stolen from Iowa, was in his possession. 3 others were cited & released for operating a Disorderly House.

Broadway Ave W & Penn Ave N Friday 11/5/10 2055 hrs 10-337944
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after the driver ran a red light. AP1/male, 16 yrs, the front seat passenger, kept looking back at officer & moving around in his seat as if to be hiding or adjusting something. When the vehicle was stopped, AP1 was not wearing his seatbelt & he said it was off because he was tying his shoe. AP1 refused to look at officer & was hesitant in answering questions. While frisking AP1, officer located a firearm & arrested AP1. AP1 was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center & booked for PC Weapons. AP2/male, 20 yrs, was cited & released for the traffic violation.
