Assault 4—Police/Emergency Personnel
13XX 16th Ave N                  Friday                12/17/10                      1504 hrs              10-374668
Officers responded to the above location on “Unknown Trouble.”  When officers arrived, the caller stated she wanted her former roommate, AP1/male, 24 yrs, removed from the house because he was DK.   Officers attempted to arrest this party for Domestic Assault and for threatening the caller.  Meanwhile, AP2/male, 32 yrs, charged officers & struggled with them, swinging at officers in his attempt to obstruct the arrest process of AP1.  AP1 struck an officer in the right eye area, causing officer’s glasses to fall to the floor & redness & swelling near his eye.  Both AP’s were eventually handcuffed with the help of assisting officers.  AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Assault 4 & AP2 was booked in HCJ for PC Obstructing Legal Process.   Officer refused medical attention. 

Assault 2---w/a Dangerous Weapon
33rd Ave N& Emerson Ave N         Friday           12/17/10          1700 hrs                 10-374911
Officer was dispatched to a hospital in Fridley to meet the victim of a stabbing.  V1/male, 22 yrs, was very uncooperative and only stated he was walking in the above area when 2 males ran up to him.  V1 stated they punched him in the mouth, knocking him to the ground, & then one of the suspects stabbed him in the leg.  Suspects fled.  V1 said there was no robbery & he does not know of any reason why he would be attacked.   V1’s wound is non-life threatening.

6XX Russell Ave N             Wednesday               12/15/10               0720 hrs                        10-372473
V1/female, 43 yrs, went outside to warm up her car, which was parked directly in front of her home.  When V1 stuck the key in the driver’s side door, unknown S1/male, 20-25 yrs, came up from behind, grabbed V1’s arm & swung her to the ground.  V1 lost the keys in the process & S1 retrieved them.  S1 got in the vehicle & started it up.  The driver’s side door was open, so V1 clung to the bottom of it, as she was still on the ground.  S1 grabbed V1’s neck, squeezing & pushing her until she let go of the car.  S1 pulled the door shut & as he began to drive off, he struck V1 in the thigh, knocking her down again after she had managed to stand up.   Vehicle is a 2001 Grand Am, 4 door, black.   Ambulance responded but V1 refused to go to the hospital.  Suspect was GOA.

6XX Broadway Ave W        Wednesday         12/15/10             2141 hrs                            10-373120
V1/female, 37 yrs, walked out of the store & was approached by unknown S2/male, 20-30 yrs, who pointed a small dark handgun at V1 & told her to get into a Ford Taurus, which was parked at the gas pumps.  Unknown S1/female, 20-30 yrs, was the driver & unknown S3/female, 20-30 yrs, was in the back seat.  V1 was forced to give the suspects her belongings, including an ATM card.  Suspects took V1 in the vehicle to the US Bank ATM at Broadway & Emerson.  V1 was told by S2 to provide her PIN number or she would be killed.  S3 got out of the vehicle & used V1’s ATM card to obtain $20 from the machine.   Suspects then dropped V1 off near 21st & Bryant Ave.  Loss included 2 bank cards; a cell phone valued at $150; ID; & $32 in cash.  V1 was not injured.   Suspects were GOA.

35TH Ave N & Girard Ave N     Wednesday       12/15/10        1800 hrs                         10-372956
V1/female, 30 yrs, was robbed at gunpoint by S1/male, 20-26 yrs, & S2/male, 40-45 yrs.  V1 met the suspects just 2 days prior to the incident.  V1 told officer she was addicted to pain killers & the suspects told her they could get her some medication.  V1 was instructed to meet them at the gas station at Dowling & Fremont Ave N.  V1 got in their car, but the suspects were nervous about the transaction & told V1 to get out & meet them at another location.  V1 again got into the suspect vehicle, at the new location.  This time, S2 appeared to be pulling pills from his jacket, but he pulled out a .380 semi-automatic & demanded everything V1 had.  V1 attempted to get out, but was threatened with being shot if she did.  V1 gave S2 her jacket; a set of keys; a cell phone; a gold necklace; a watch; & $30 in cash.  Suspects then let her go.   V1 was not injured. Suspects were GOA.

V1/male, 27 yrs, walked into the 1st Pct to report he had been robbed.  V1 stated he was walking to his vehicle in the above area when unknown S1/male, 30-35 yrs, approached him & stated he needed a ride.  V1 asked him where he was going & S1 told V1 he would give him gas money if V1 drove him to Nicollet Ave S.  V1 stated he didn’t need gas money, but invited S1 to get in the vehicle.  Once inside, S1 pulled out a 6” knife & demanded V1’s wallet.  V1 handed S1 $150 in cash from his pocket, as well as a $500 cell phone.  S1 then got out of the vehicle & fled on foot.  V1 was not injured.  Suspect was GOA.

V1/female, 24 yrs, was walking near the above location when she observed OT1/male, 24-25 yrs, who she recognized from the neighborhood.  OT1 asked her to come over to his location (he was standing outside) to talk.  V1 went over & OT1 invited her inside the bldg. to talk, as it was cold out.  Once inside, 2 male suspects, 20-23 yrs, walked up to OT1 & asked him if he had any weed.  When OT1 said no, S1 pulled out a semi-automatic & ordered both OT1 & V1 to the ground.  S2 went over to V1 & removed her coat & went through her pockets.  Suspects fled with her coat & cell phone, valued at $180 (total).  V1 told officers she thinks OT1 set her up for the robbery.   No injuries.  Suspects were GOA.

V1/male, 15, & V2/male, 18 yrs, were invited to meet a friend at the above address.  When they knocked on the door & the friend was not there, they were approached from the side of the house by S1/male, 17-18 yrs, who pulled out a semi-auto handgun, cocked the hammer, & pointed it at V1’s chest.   S2/male, 17-18 told the victims to give them their money.  S1 then pointed the gun at V2 & demanded his money.  V1 handed the suspects $130 & the 2 victims fled the scene.   V1 stated the money belonged to both victims, as they “pool” their money as friends.   V1 believes the friend they were supposed to meet at the residence was in on the robbery.    No injuries.   Suspects were GOA.

MURDER:
4XX 29TH Ave N                  Friday         12/10/10            1726 hrs                                    10-369064
A patrol officer saw a disturbance involving a number of people & went to investigate.  As the officer went to investigate, he heard gunshots.  Officer found V1/male, 31 yrs, with gunshot wounds.  V1 was declared dead at the scene by EMS.  

ROBBERY:

44th Ave N & Humboldt Ave N         Tuesday                12/7/10           2235 hrs               10-366681
V1/female, 20 yrs, was robbed at gunpoint after she got off the bus & unknown S1/male, 16-20 yrs., followed her.   Prior to this, S1 asked V1 for directions.  S1 displayed a black handgun & pointed it at V1’s throat.  V1 ran away & S1 fired one shot at her.  V1 was not hit, but fell to the ground.  S1 demanded V1 walk back over to him.  S1 hit V1 in the lip & shoved the gun in V1’s throat.  V1 took off her jacket (as commanded) & S1 grabbed it from her.  S1 grabbed $80 out of V1’s jeans pocket & ran off.  V1 was not injured & refused EMS.  Officers searched the area with K9, but S1 was GOA.

Officers responded to the hospital to speak with V1/female, 47 yrs, who stated she was at the store & her vehicle got stuck.  V1 stated another vehicle was also stuck, & so she helped unknown S1/male, 22-28 yrs, push that vehicle out of the snow.  After that, S1 reached into V1’s purse, removed a $100 bill, & fled.  V1 pursued S1, demanding her money back & S1 punched V1 twice in the face.  V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance & possibly has a broken jaw.  S1 was GOA.

49th Ave N & Fremont Ave N          Thursday      12/2/10         1930 hrs                      10-362232
Officers responded to the hospital on a shooting victim.  V1 was in surgery, so officers spoke to W1/male, 37 yrs, who stated that his wife, V1/27 yrs, was shot after they went to the above location to buy marijuana from S1/male, unknown age.  S1 is a known drug dealer, but is only known to W1 by a nickname.  V1 exited her vehicle to make the purchase from S1, who was in his vehicle, when W1 heard a shot go off.  V1 was shot in the torso & driven to the hospital by W1.  S1 was GOA.   

Assault 2 w/a Dangerous Weapon    / Narcotics Violation  
39th Ave N & Fremont Ave N          Monday       12/6/10         1800 hrs                         10-365417
Officers received the description of 2 suspects possibly involved in a stabbing.  Officers saw 2 parties matching the descriptions at the above location.  Officers initiated a stop & asked AP1/Anthony Lamont Shannon, male, 27 yrs, 6/16/83, if he had any weapons on him.  AP1 said he had a knife in his pocket.  Officers found the knife with what looked like human blood on it.  Officers also located 2 vials with tobacco inside & trace evidence of FTP PCP inside.  It was tested & came back positive for FTP PCP.  AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Assault 2 & PC Narcotics.

V1/male, 17 yrs, was walking to his girlfriend’s house & walked by a white vehicle that was running & had its lights on.  S1/male, 19-20 yrs, stepped out of the passenger side of the vehicle, pulled a revolver out of his jacket, &demanded V1’s money.  S1 told V1 that if he did not have any money, he would blow his head off.  V1 handed S1 $50 & held out his keys & cell phone.  S1 told V1 to walk away.  V1 is unsure if S1 took his cell phone or if he dropped it when he jumped a fence.  V1 was not injured.  There was no description for S2, who was the driver of the vehicle.  Suspects were GOA.

V1/male, 22 yrs, was walking home when he was approached by 2 unknown male suspects, approx. 23 yrs.  V1 turned to see S1 behind him & S2 walking backwards in front of him.  S1 produced a long barreled black revolver that looked like it had a silencer on it & told V1 to put his hands up.  S1 then commanded V1 to turn around & face away from him as S2 went through V1’s pockets & broke the chain attaching his wallet to his belt.  S1 told V1 to walk away as suspects ran off.  Loss included V1’s wallet; EBT card; SS card; other ID; & cash, totaling $28.  No injuries.

V1/female, 21 yrs, & V2/male, 18 yrs, stated they were sitting in a vehicle when 3 parties came out of nowhere & robbed them.  V1 stated the 3 unknown suspects came up to the vehicle & S1 had a gun.  Both victims stated the suspects wore dark clothing & facemasks.  S1, who had the gun, pulled V2 out of the passenger seat & demanded money as he threw him to the ground.  S1 then reached in & grabbed V1’s purse.  All suspects ran.  Victims were unable to give descriptions of the suspects, other than they were approx. 18 yrs old.  Loss included V1’s purse valued at $25; $40 in cash; misc credit cards; & ID.  Suspects were GOA.

17th Ave N & Penn Ave N       Saturday          12/4/10               2345 hrs                            10-364157
V1/male, 21 yrs, stated he was walking home when he was approached by 3 unknown male suspects, 16-21 yrs.  S1 pulled out a handgun & pointed it at V1as S2 dug through his pants pockets & recovered keys & ID.  S3 then took V1’s jacket off him.  At this time, S1 struck V1 on the right side of his head with the gun.  All 3 suspects then ran.  V1 stated that when he was struck with the gun, it shot a round off.  V1 refused EMS.  Loss includes V1’s Carhart jacket valued at $100; an $80 cell phone; ID; & keys.  Suspects were GOA.

WEAP-Carry a Weapon without a Permit
39XX Lyndale Ave N                     Wednesday              12/1/10          2115 hrs                     10-361357
Officers received information that AP1/male, 22 yrs, was in possession of a handgun.   AP1’s vehicle was stopped & a handgun was recovered.  AP1 is a felon & is therefore prohibited from possessing a firearm.  AP1 was booked in HCJ. 

WEAP-Carry a Weapon without a Permit      /    Narcotics Violation
32XX Colfax Ave N                  Sunday                      12/5/10            2247 hrs                       10-364787
Officers conducted a Traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to signal as it pulled to the curb.  Upon approaching the vehicle, officers smelled the strong odor of marijuana within the car.  All 3 occupants, AP1/male, 18 yrs;  AP2/male, 21 yrs; & AP3/male, 22 yrs; were removed from the vehicle.  Officers recovered a backpack containing approx. 95 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, & a box of plastic baggies.  Officers also located a fully loaded .38 special revolver.  All 3 AP’s admitted they were felons & did not have a permit to carry a weapon.  All 3 parties were booked in HCJ for PC Narcotics & PC Weapons.

Assault 2—w/a Dangerous Weapon
16XX Washburn Ave N          Tuesday               11/23/10               0021 hrs                    10-354333
Officers responded to a shots call & met V1/male, 24 yrs, who stated he was shot at by unknown suspects.  V1 said he walked to the rear door of his girlfriend’s house & put the key in the deadbolt.  At that time, V1 heard 2 pairs of feet running towards him.  V1 said he observed 2 male suspects, unknown ages, wearing black ski masks & dark clothing.  V1 slammed the door & put his body against it.  A bullet came through the kitchen window near that door & shattered the glass.  A gloved arm came through the window.  V1 ran upstairs & told his girlfriend to call 911.  No injuries.  V1 has no idea why anyone would attempt to harm him.  Suspects were GOA.

Assault 2—w/a Dangerous Weapon
23XX Washington Ave N        Tuesday          11/23/10               2148 hrs                        10-355094
V1/male, 36 yrs, stated he was at the gas station when, for reasons unknown, unknown S1/female, 20-25 yrs, began yelling at him.  V1 stated that S1 seemed to be under the influence of narcotics.  V1 was filling his gas tank when S1 ran up to his truck & pointed a small, dark revolver at him & yelled something.  S1’s vehicle was described as a Chevy Trail Blazer.  S1 got into the vehicle & drove off.  V1 was not hurt.  

Assault 2---w/a Dangerous Weapon
52XX Fremont Ave N              Saturday       11/27/10            0010 hrs                              10-357260
Officers responded to the above location on the sound of shots fired.  V1/female, 35 yrs, was sleeping in her living room when she heard multiple gunshots.  OT1/male, 16 yrs, who is her son’s friend, was also in the living room & stated this was related to a fight earlier in Brooklyn Center.  OT1 had been outside the above address when known S1/male 17, & known S2/male, 18 yrs, walked up & yelled at him.  OT1 had been in a fight earlier with S1 & S2 in Brooklyn Center where each suspect had a gun.  OT1 went inside the Fremont address & heard 5 shots.  Suspects fled in a vehicle.  One bullet hit the residence above the front door, another hit a tree branch & then hit the window on the 2nd level of the home.   No injuries.  

Domestic Assault—3rd Degree
33XX Dupont Ave N               Saturday        11/27/10               1800 hrs                           10-357974
Officers were dispatched to the hospital to see the victim of an assault.  V1/male, 55 yrs, stated that S1/male, 30 yrs, his stepson, struck him about the head with an unknown weapon during an argument about the use of a car.  V1 had a swollen face, his left eye was red, & several of his front teeth were missing.  V1 had fractures to some facial bones & was difficult to understand.   V1 approached a neighbor who brought him to the hospital.   S1’s whereabouts were unknown.

Assault 2---w/a Dangerous Weapon   /   Forced Entry
16XX 26th Ave N                  Saturday          11/27/10              2030 hrs                               10-357972
Officers were dispatched to the above location regarding a stabbing.   V1/female, 31 yrs, appeared to be conscious, but was unresponsive.  She was unable to tell officers her name.  V1 had been stabbed in the right leg.  V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance.   Officers spoke with others at the scene that appeared to be extremely intoxicated.  V1 had been at a party in the area & it was learned that she got into a fight with 5 females who were also at the party.   Officers followed a blood trail that led up to the above address.  Parties inside refused to open the door, so it was kicked in to see if there were other victims.   Parties at the scene were uncooperative & stated they did not know anything about the incident.  No arrests.

18TH Ave N & Fremont Ave N          Wednesday            11/24/10         1940 hrs                10-355786
V1/male, 32 yrs, stated he was approached by 4 unknown males, & AP1/male, 19 yrs, asked V1 for a cigarette.   As V1 turned to AP1, the other 3 males punched & kicked V1.  V1 was on the ground when AP1 demanded his money.  The parties checked his pockets & AP1 recovered a $20 bill from V1.  All parties then fled.  Another Officer stopped AP1 & AP2/male,19 yrs, at Broadway & Aldrich.  V1 positively ID’d both parties in a “show-up” & a face mask described by V1 was recovered from AP2’s backpack.  A $20 bill was found on AP1.  Both parties were booked in HCJ for PC Robbery.

Officer responded to the call of victims being chased by a male with a gun.  Officer located the juvenile victims, 2 females, both 14 yrs, who stated they were approached by S1/male, 20-25 yrs, who had a black revolver with a wood or brown handle.  S1 pointed the gun at the victims & demanded their money or else he said one of them was going to die.  V1 gave S1 $10 in cash, & a bag of clothes valued at $50.  V2 gave S1 her cell phone & approx. $15.  Suspect ordered the victims to walk away.  Victims were not injured.  S1 was GOA.

15th Ave N & Morgan Ave N         Sunday             11/28/10              1710hrs                      10-358646
Officers were dispatched to a robbery of person at gunpoint.  V1/female, 14 yrs, stated she was walking with her friend, W1/female, no age listed, when they were approached by 3 unknown male suspects, 15—17 yrs.  S1 pointed a small black colored handgun at V1 & demanded her belongings.  V1 stated “no” & S1 manipulated the slide on the handgun, pointing it at her.  V1 still did not move.  S1 went through her pockets & took her wallet & cell phone.   The wallet contained $10 in cash.  S2 & S3 stood by laughing.  All 3 suspects ran from the area.  W1 was also robbed by the suspects…but there is no list of her loss.  W1 ran off in the same direction as the suspects.  No injuries.  Suspects were GOA.

V1/male, 43 yrs, stated he left the liquor store at the above location & was walking to his car in the rear parking lot when he was approached by 2 unknown male suspects.  S1 pulled out a silver revolver, pointed it at V1, & demanded everything he had.  V1 set down his beer & car keys & handed S1 his wallet.  S1 took $40 in cash out of the wallet & dropped it.  S2 grabbed the beer & V1’s car keys.  Both suspects then ran & got into a 2-door white car & drove off.  V1 did not know the ages of the suspects.  V1 was not injured.

V1/male, 44 yrs, & V2/male, 42 yrs, were walking down the street when 2 unknown male suspects, 17-24 yrs, approached from the alley.  Both suspects pulled out black semi-automatic pistols, pointed them at the victims & yelled “Give up the green, give up the green.”  V1 gave suspects $80 & V2 only had a small pack of chocolate cookies which he handed to the suspects.   Suspects ordered the victims to continue walking while they (the suspects) ran off.  No injuries.
