45XX Colfax Ave N Tuesday 5/31/11 1800 hrs 11-154405
Officers responded to the hospital to interview a stabbing victim. V1/male, 39 yrs, stated that his brother & unknown S1/male, 18-21 yrs, were at a party at his house. During the party, property was discovered missing & V1 believed that S1 stole it. S1 showed up at V1's house a couple days later & V1 accused him of stealing. S1 became confrontational & made punching movements before stabbing V1 in the arm. The knife blade broke in V1's arm. S1 fled at that time & V1 drove himself to the hospital. V1 was treated for non-life threatening wounds. V1 will learn S1's name & other info for the investigation.

45th Ave N & Colfax Ave N Wednesday 6/1/11 1830 hrs 11-155260
Officers responded to the hospital to interview a shooting victim. V1/male, 21 yrs, sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the femur. The bullet completely fragmented inside his body. V1 stated he saw a smaller SUV pull into the alley. Someone shot him from inside the passenger side of the vehicle. V1 thought he heard 6 shots & he fell to the ground after being hit. V1 stated unknown parties transported him to the hospital. V1 had no suspect info.

Broadway Ave W & Lyndale Ave N Thursday 6/2/11 1640 hrs 11-156380
V1/male, 44 yrs, was at the SW corner of the above intersection & he was heavily intoxicated. AP1/male, 49 yrs, was also at the corner waiting for a bus. A witness observed AP1 stab or slash V1 in the neck with a utility knife. V1 sustained a major laceration & was transported to the hospital via ambulance. Officers located AP1 & took him into custody. AP1 stated he was afraid for his safety due to V1's intoxication & that's why he slashed him. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Assault 1st Degree. V1's wound appeared to be non-life threatening.

21st Ave N & Irving Ave N Friday 6/3/11 0640 hrs 11-157041
Officers were dispatched on a stabbing at the above location. V1/female, 32 yrs, who had been drinking, stated she got into an argument with known S1/female, 25 yrs. V1 told S1 she needed to clean up her life as a prostitute & S1 hit V1 in the side of the head with a glass bottle or jar, leaving a deep cut near her left ear. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance. S1 was GOA.

36XX Fremont Ave N Friday 6/3/11 1700 hrs 11-157598
Officers were patrolling in the above area & received a call on shots fired in the area of 36th & Emerson. Neighbors of the above address told officers that someone in a grey Saturn or older white Pontiac was doing the shooting. Officers located 3 spent 9mm shell casings in the street. One round struck the gas meter at this location & officers were able to shut the gas off before fire responded. This is the 2nd call for shots fired at this address. No injuries. Officers cleared the house for the gas leak & everyone disappeared.

16XX Queen Ave N Friday 6/3/11 1940 hrs 11-158015
V1/female, 16 yrs, was at the park with W1/female 14 yrs, & a few other people. They were hanging out by the basketball courts. Known S1/male, 17 yrs, was playing basketball. When V1 walked to a car, S1 followed her, grabbed her cell phone, & threw it to the ground. V1 got out of the car & yelled at S1, who then pulled a gun & pointed it at V1's face. S1 accused V1 of talking about his baby. Another witness tried to calm S1 down. S1 got on a bike & rode away. No injuries. V1 & S1 had previously been friends.

12XX Humboldt Ave N Friday 6/3/11 2140 hrs 11-157910
Officers responded to an assault in progress call at this location. AP1male, 24 yrs, told Dispatch he beat up V1/male, 46 yrs, for making sexual advances towards him. V1, who was located inside, had been beaten severely & was bleeding profusely around his face & head. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance. AP1 was apprehended & booked in HCJ for PC Assault 2.

28XX Humboldt Ave N Tuesday 5/31/2011 1855 hrs 11-154070
Officer was flagged down by V1/male, 24 yrs. V1 told officer that 4 unknown males, 12-16 yrs, assaulted him & took his cell phone. V1 had lacerations on his face & his left eye appeared to be bruised & cut. V1 requested an ambulance. There were also scrapes on V1's hands & arms, as well as a large bump on the outer bone of his hand. V1 told officer this sort of thing has happened several times. V1 said that kids in the area have started his garbage can on fire & done other things to him. On this occasion, V1 observed kids fighting & said he was going to call 911. A large group of juveniles approached him & 2 suspects assaulted him & took his cell phone. V1 told officer he feared for his safety & thought this kind of behavior would continue & the group might come back & retaliate against him by damaging his property or killing him. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance. Suspects were GOA.
ROBBIZ (Vitalife Pharmacy)
41XX Fremont Ave N Thursday 6/2/11 0917 hrs 11-155925
Officers were dispatched on a robbery of a drug store. The caller observed 2 males in the store with guns & everybody inside was on the floor. The 2 suspects walked in the front door & each pulled out a semi-automatic handgun, ordering everyone to get on the ground. One suspect demanded Oxy-cotton & Percocet from the pharmacist. He also pulled out the cash drawer on the safe & took approx. $1000 in cash. Both suspects fled out the back door & got into a silver 2-door vehicle, possibly a Honda & fled. No injuries.

29th Ave N & Oliver Ave N Thursday 6/2/11 2230 hrs 11-157237
V1/female, 27 yrs, came into the Pct to report she had been robbed. V1 stated she got off the bus in the above area & was approached by 4 unknown males, 15-18 yrs. One of the males displayed a handgun & demanded V1's purse. V1 gave him the purse & all 4 suspects ran off. V1 stated the purse contained $800 in cash. No injuries. Suspects were GOA.
ROBBIZ (Taxi Driver)
32XX 6th St N Friday 6/3/11 0009 hrs 11-156886
V1/male, 26 yrs, a taxi driver, stated he picked up 2 parties AP1/male, 25 yrs, & AP2/ male, 22 yrs. AP2 put a shotgun or other long gun to V1's head & demanded money. AP2 took $140 from V1 & threatened to shoot him. AP1 & AP2 made V1 stop the taxi & allow AP3/male, 22 yrs, to get in. V1 was then forced to drive into an alley where he thought he would be shot or killed. AP3 grabbed several hundred dollars worth of V1's property & all 3 fled on foot. Assisting officers located the AP's & in a show-up, V1 positively ID'd them as the robbers. All 3 AP's were booked in HCJ for PC Agg Robbery. V1 was not injured.

20XX Washington Ave N Friday 6/3/11 2050 hrs 11-157856
Officers were dispatched to this location on a male who was holding a knife on one of the employees. V1/male, 56 yrs, stated that AP1/male, 29 yrs, is an old employee who wanted money he's owed from working there. V1 gave AP $50 in cash from the register & told AP1 to wait until the customers left & he would pay him the balance. AP1 waited a while, then grabbed a knife from the chef's area & put it to V1's stomach, demanding his pay. V1 took the knife from AP1 & escorted him to a back hallway until officers arrived. V1 was not injured. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC ROBPAG.

Lyndale Ave N & Webber Park Friday 6/3/11 2100 hrs 11-158795
Officers were dispatched to the hospital to interview a person who had been robbed the previous evening & had been knocked unconscious in the assault. V1 stated she went to the bank that day & made 3 ATM withdrawals, totaling $1000. V1 stated she then went to a liquor store & purchased a box of wine & some cigarettes. V1 encountered unknown S1/male, 40—50 yrs, & unknown S2/male, 20—30 yrs, in the above area, who knocked her out. When V1 came to she observed people surrounding her. V1's purse; wine; & cigarettes were missing. The following day, V1's pain worsened & she was transported to the hospital. Total cash loss is $970; liquor was valued at $20; cigarettes, $7; & V1's purse is worth $20. Papers & ID were also inside the purse.

Broadway Ave W & Ilion Ave Saturday 6/4/11 0338 hrs 11-158387
Officers responded to a robbery of person call & observed V1/male, 28 yrs, with a cut underneath his eye & blood on his face & shirt. V1 was very emotional & intoxicated & stated he was from Chicago & was not sure where he was staying in Minneapolis. V1 was threatening to kill the parties who supposedly robbed him. V1 dropped his cell phone & it went down the sewer drain. Officers attempted to lift the grate, but it was welded shut. V1 continued his tirade, so he was placed in handcuffs & transported to the hospital. V1 was told he was not under arrest. No suspects.

19XX 5th Ave N Saturday 6/4/11 1125 hrs 11-158609
V1/male, 11 yrs, was riding his bike in front of the above area when AP1/male, 14 yrs, came up to him, pushed him off it, & took off with the bike. AP1 later returned to the area & was detained. Two witnesses ID'd AP1 as the person who took V1's bike. AP1 was booked in JDC.

41XX Lyndale Ave Saturday 6/4/11 1539 hrs 11-158835
V1/male, 74 yrs, obtained money from the ATM at the above location & AP1/male, 21 yrs, approached V1, demanding the money. AP1 & AP2/male, 18 yrs, struck V1 with a metal broom & V1 fell to the ground as he tried to fight with the AP's. AP1 stole V1's wallet & cell phone & fled on foot with AP2. AP's were detained by Metro Transit Police in Webber Park. V1 positively ID'd the AP's as the parties who robbed him. Some of V1's property was found on AP1. AP's were booked in HCJ for PC Robbery. V1 sustained a bruise on each forearm.

14TH Ave N & Knox Ave N Sunday 6/5/11 2300 hrs 11-160436
V1/male, 59 yrs, who is a veteran, with physical injuries to his legs, walked to the store. En route, he noticed a street light randomly go off & unknown S1/male, 22-23 yrs, approached him, asking for a light. As V1 provided a light, unknown S2/male, pressed what he believed was a handgun against his back. S2 stated he had a gun & demanded V1's money. V1 handed his wallet, containing $530 in cash, back to S2. Suspects told V1 to run, but he could not do this. Suspects fled. V1 was not injured. Further loss in the wallet included V1's MN ID, apt. key, & V.A. ID card. Suspects were GOA. V1 never saw S2's face.

Laurel Ave W & Thomas Ave S Monday 6/6/11 1615 hrs 11-161235
V1/male, 14 yrs, was walking down the street with a friend when known S1/male, 14 yrs, came up from behind & grabbed him around the waist. S1 threw V1 to the ground & removed V1's cell phone from his pocket. Known S2/female, 14 yrs, attempted to take V1's money but was unsuccessful. V1 sustained a cut to his elbow from being thrown on the ground. Suspects fled on foot. The cell phone is valued at $250.

14XX Plymouth Ave N Tuesday 5/31/11 0008 hrs 11-153190
AP1/male, 26 yrs, was involved in a physical fight at this location. A caller reported that a gun was involved in the fight. AP1 struggled with officers as he was being separated from the fight & he reached for his waistband, attempting to pull out a gun. AP1 was taken down by officers & dropped the gun. AP1 was on probation & is prohibited from possessing a firearm, so he was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons & Probation Violation.

36th Ave N & Fremont Ave N Tuesday 5/31/11 2119 hrs 11-154213
Officers were dispatched to a person with a gun call & observed a group near a van that was described in the call. Officers advised the group to come to the squad car & AP1/male, 19 yrs, ran inside a house. The owners gave police permission to search the house & AP1 was apprehended there. Officers also located a semi-automatic handgun. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons.

Officers arrested AP1/male, 20 yrs; AP2/male, 19 yrs; & AP3/male, 20 yrs, for PC Weapons. No further information available. AP4/male, 17 yrs, was booked in JDC for Misdemeanor Obstruct Legal Process.

39XX Dupont Ave N Friday 6/3/11 0241 hrs 11-156980
Officers responded to a person with a gun call & located a vehicle matching the description & the license plate provided. A loaded handgun was accessible by both the driver & the passenger. AP1/male, 24 yrs, was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons & for a Misdemeanor Warrant for Driving after Revocation. AP2/male, 22 yrs, was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons.

29XX Girard Ave N Friday 6/3/11 1724 hrs 11-157616
Officers were dispatched to the above area on a person with a shotgun. Officers saw AP1/male, 15 yrs, run towards the above address & place the gun in the grass on the side of the house. AP1 attempted to run, but was taken into custody & was booked in JDC. The BB rifle was recovered & inventoried, along with air cartridges & a knife found on AP1.

28XX Oliver Ave N Saturday 6/4/11 2219 hrs 11-159234
Officers checked the above area on the sound of shots. Officers observed 2 males riding bikes with no headlights on Newton where the shots were heard. AP1/male, 15 yrs, was stopped in front of 28XX Newton & was told to get off his bike. AP1 laid the bike down & with his other hand, threw a gun in a brush pile near this location. AP1 was handcuffed & placed in the squad. Officers found a loaded & cocked .40 cal Taurus handgun in the brush. AP1 was booked in JDC for PC Weapons. OT1, the male on the other bike, was released at the scene.

14th Ave N & Sheridan Ave Sunday 6/5/11 2103 hrs 11-160306
RP1/female, 38 yrs, was sitting on the front steps of 14XX Sheridan Ave N & observed AP1/male, 18 yrs, walking by & talking on his cell phone. AP1 pulled up his shirt, brandishing a black handgun on his side. RP1 was frightened & phoned police. Officers located AP1 from the description given in front of 24XX Plymouth Ave, with a BB pistol holstered on his hip. AP1 was arrested & booked in HCJ.

26XX Golden Valley Rd Sunday 6/5/11 2225 hrs 11-160383
Officers attempted a traffic stop & the vehicle fled for approx. 4 blocks. Squads activated lights & siren. Suspect vehicle drove onto the sidewalk & was blocked in by a parked car, retaining wall, & street light. Officers located a handgun on the backseat passenger floor. The passenger, AP2/male, 20 yrs, was in immediate reach of the weapon & was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons. The driver, AP1/male, 27 yrs, was booked in HCJ for PC Fleeing in a MV, & for DAR.
